Disney Trivia Questions
From the first feature-length cartoon to the modern computer-animated era, this round covers the films, the characters and the company behind them. Play it, then read every answer below.
Keys 1-4 pick an answer, Enter moves on. Nothing is saved to an account.
Disney trivia has an unusually wide spread, because the company covers nearly a century of animation, a film library that most people met as children, and a theme park business with its own dense history. A round that only asks who lives in which castle wastes the material. The better questions sit at the joins: which film came first, who wrote the songs, which studio made which breakthrough, and how the company grew by acquisition.
The set below runs from the earliest features through the Pixar era, mixing character questions that almost everyone gets with dates and creator credits that separate the casual viewer from the enthusiast. Songs appear by title only, and park questions stick to opening years and permanent icons rather than anything that changes with the season.

He died in December 1966 and was cremated. His ashes are interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.

Animator Ub Iwerks did most of the drawing for the original Mickey design. Walt supplied the idea and the early voice.

Running this round at a quiz night
Disney rounds play well with families, so balance a Walt-era classic, a princess film, a Pixar title and a park question in every set of five, then add one company or behind-the-scenes question for the adults. Keep the pace brisk; these are recognition questions and long pauses drain the fun. The main disputes are Pixar versus Disney and remakes versus originals, so state which studio and which year you mean when you read the question, and write the studio on the answer sheet. Character names should be accepted without the film title if they are unique. For tiebreakers use fixed years such as release dates or Walt's birth year, with the closest guess winning.
Frequently asked questions
Is Pixar the same company as Disney?
Pixar began as an independent studio and its films were distributed by Disney under a partnership. Disney bought Pixar outright in a deal completed in 2006. Pixar still releases films under its own name, so quizzes usually treat the two labels separately.
Which Disney film really came first?
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, released in December 1937, was the studio's first full-length animated feature. Disney had been making short cartoons for a decade before that, starting with the Alice Comedies and then Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Mickey Mouse.
Why do the questions avoid asking about park rides?
Attractions open, close and get rethemed constantly, so an answer that is right today can be wrong within a year. This set sticks to park opening years and permanent architectural icons, which do not change.
