Trivia written for adults is not trivia with rude questions in it. It is trivia that assumes a few decades of reading, watching and paying attention: history that was not on the school syllabus, films from before the person asking was born, science that stops at the edge of what a curious non-specialist would know.

The set below mixes the medium and hard tiers from all thirty topics. That balance is the one most pub quizzes use, because a room of adults wants to get about six or seven out of ten. Much higher and the round feels pointless; much lower and it feels like homework.

If you are running a night rather than playing alone, the quiz night kit builds this shape automatically, prints answer sheets and will even read the questions out loud while you keep score.
