Easy does not mean childish. These are the questions a room full of adults will mostly get right, which is exactly what you want at the start of a quiz night: everybody scores, nobody feels shut out, and the table warms up before the hard rounds arrive. The set below pulls the easiest questions from every topic on the site, so a group with wildly different interests still finds common ground.

If you are hosting, use an easy round first and last. First because it settles people in, last because a night that ends on impossible questions sends everyone home grumpy. Between them, put the medium and hard rounds where the real competition happens.

Every answer below carries a short line explaining why it is right, so the round teaches something even when it is not testing anybody very hard.
