Name All the The Thirteen Colonies
Thirteen colonies, three minutes. Several of them are not the states you would guess.
Answers register as you type, so there is nothing to submit. Spelling counts, capitals and punctuation do not.
The thirteen colonies ran down the Atlantic seaboard and are usually grouped into three regions: New England in the north, the Middle Colonies around New York and Pennsylvania, and the Southern Colonies from Maryland down to Georgia. Each group had a different economy, which is why they behaved so differently in the years before independence.
The common mistakes are geographic. Vermont and Maine were not separate colonies, Florida was British but never joined, and Delaware spent much of its early history administratively tied to Pennsylvania before becoming the first state to ratify the Constitution.
